3 Car Garage
Three-car garages (also known as triple garages or triple-wide garages) are enclosed metal shelters that are designed to house three vehicles (cars, trucks, etc.). A 3-car garage is a good option to consider for reasons besides just sheltering vehicles, too. Thanks to their larger size, 3-car garages make great multipurpose usage space for a variety of applications. Metal Garage Central has an excellent selection of triple garage designs for you to choose from, and our friendly building specialists are always standing by to help you generate the most value out of your investment!
3 Car Garage Plans
The style of triple garage you should choose depends on the functionality and options you desire, as well as your budget. The regular (rounded) roof style is the most economical. There are also two A-frame style roof options: the boxed eave style with horizontal metal sheeting, and the vertical style with vertical metal sheeting. The vertical style roof is the premium option because it is stronger, and the vertical orientation of the sheeting prevents accumulation of snow or pooling of rainwater. You also have the ability to choose the color (including a two-tone option), and can include your choice of doors, windows, or other customization options for your 3-car garage. And in terms of applications for your building, you’re only limited by your imagination. Some customers choose to use two bays for sheltering vehicles, for example, and will leave one bay reserved for workshop, hobby room, or general storage purposes.

3 Car Garage Prices
One common question people ask is, “How much will a three-car garage cost?” At Metal Garage Central, our prices are among the most competitive in the engineered steel structure industry. Pre-engineered metal garage prices will vary based on the extent of customization involved (roof style and dimensions), any additional materials desired (gables, doors, windows, etc.), the gauge of frame (standard 14-GA or sturdier 12-GA), the gauge of sheet metal (standard 29-GA or sturdier 26-GA), and the certification or building permit requirements of your region. The state in which you have your new custom metal garage installed will also affect its pricing. If you’re looking for accurate, up-to-date metal garage prices, look no further than Metal Garage Central! We keep our website current with real-time garage pricing updates. And of course, you’re always welcome to give one of our building specialists a call and we can answer all your questions. Oh, and here’s one feature you won’t have to worry about paying for – all of our steel garages are included delivery and installation with standard purchase!
3 Car Garage Dimensions
Standard 3-car garages come between 26' and 30’ wide, but you can always choose to go wider, according to your needs and preferences. A 26’-wide unit can cover three compact cars, but it doesn’t leave much room to move. We recommend going with a width of 30’ (or greater) to give you more wiggle room, and to allow space to accommodate larger vehicles should you ever have a need.
With Metal Garage Central, you determine the dimensions of your building – not just width, but length and height as well. Choosing to go longer with your design can give you a few extra feet of space for shelving, supplies, or whatever else you may need to store. Every one of our precision-fabricated steel structures is custom-built according to each customer’s specifications. You decide what dimensions, roof style, colors, and other options and upgrades your two car garage should include, and then we’ll take it from there!
Advantages of Prefab Steel Structures
Steel structures are superior to stick-builds or those made from other materials for reasons beyond the initial purchase price, too:
Metal is easier to clean and requires less maintenance than stick-builds or other structures. And since the color is infused into the metal, you don’t have the same peeling or fading paint issues, either.
Steel buildings don’t rot like wood and can stand up to constant use and extreme weather, including high winds, heavy rains, accumulating snow, lightning … and even earthquakes! The metal paneling can also be coated with aluminum compounds to help further prevent rusting and prolong the life of the panels.
Pest and Fire Resistant–
Steel isn’t susceptible to termites or other pests, and doesn’t harbor mold or mildew. Steel is also incredibly fire resistant.
The versatility of steel allows for more complex architectural designs and more clear-span interior space. It’s easier to expand metal buildings as your space needs grow, too.
Less Expensive to Insure–
Thanks to superior strength, durability, and fire resistance, your insurance costs may decrease if you choose a steel building over other options. That’s another cost benefit you get by choosing a structure from Metal Garage Central!
